Privacy Policy
FigHub Ltd | hello@fighub.app · Last updated: 29 June 2026
1. Who We Are
FigHub ("we", "us", "our") is a mobile application developed by FigHub Ltd. We are the data controller responsible for your personal data.
FigHub Ltd is a private limited company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 17307481), registered with the Information Commissioner's Office as a data controller (ICO No. ZC185049). You can contact us at hello@fighub.app for any privacy-related queries.
We process your personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
2. Your Personal Minifigure Photos
This section is about the photos you choose to take of your own minifigures to build your personal collection. These are different from the scan photos used for AI identification, which are covered separately in Section 3.
In plain English:
- Where they are stored. Personal photos you take of your minifigures are stored securely in Supabase Storage, our cloud storage provider.
- What they are linked to. Each photo is linked to your personal collection record so it appears alongside the right minifigure in your collection.
- Who can see them. If you make your profile public, or share your collection with people on your collector list, your personal minifigure photos may be visible to those other users. If your profile is private, only you can see them.
- You control who sees them. You decide who can see your photos using your privacy settings. The options are Everyone, Collector list only, or Nobody.
- You can delete them at any time. You can remove any personal photo whenever you like from the edit screen for that minifigure. Deleting a photo removes it from your collection record.
3. Scan Images and AI Identification
Please read this section carefully — it explains exactly what happens to the photos you take when you scan a minifigure, and how to opt out of AI training.
When you scan a minifigure using the FigHub app, here is what happens to that scan image, in plain English:
- The photo is sent to OpenAI for identification. Your scan photo is sent to OpenAI's GPT-4o model, which identifies the minifigure for you. OpenAI processes the image as part of providing the identification result. OpenAI's handling of data is governed by their own privacy policy, available at https://openai.com/privacy.
- An anonymised copy is kept to improve identification accuracy. FigHub keeps an anonymised copy of the scan image so we can improve the accuracy of our AI identification over time.
- Anonymised images are not linked to you. Once a scan image has been anonymised, it is no longer connected to your account or any other personal data. It cannot be used to identify you.
- You can opt out of AI training at any time. Go to Settings → Privacy → "Contribute to AI training" and turn the toggle off. When you opt out, your scan images are not retained or used to train or improve our AI.
- Opting out does not stop you scanning. AI identification still works exactly the same way whether the toggle is on or off. Opting out only affects whether your scan images are kept to help improve the AI — it does not limit your ability to scan minifigures.
The Workshop feature also uses AI scanning. The same data handling described in this section applies to Workshop scans as well as standard minifigure scans.
4. Other Data We Collect
4.1 Scan and Identification Data
For each confirmed scan we collect:
- The minifigure ID (BrickLink and/or Rebrickable format)
- The AI-generated identification result and confidence score
- Data returned from third-party APIs about the identified minifigure
- Timestamp of the scan
- Whether the identification was confirmed or corrected by you
4.2 Collection Data
We store your personal collection of minifigures, including any personal details you add such as notes, condition, purchase price, and purchase date. If you are a registered user, your collection may also be synced to our servers.
4.3 Usage and Analytics Data
We collect usage data including:
- Number of scans performed
- Features used within the app
- Subscription tier and upgrade events
- API call counts for internal monitoring and service improvement
- App open and session data
This data is used for internal analytics, improving the app, and informing business decisions including commercial partnerships. We may share aggregated, anonymised analytics data with third parties.
4.4 Subscription and Payment Data
If you upgrade to a Premium or Pro subscription, payment processing is handled by RevenueCat and the relevant app store. FigHub Ltd does not store your payment card details. We receive confirmation of your subscription status from RevenueCat.
4.5 Device Data
We may collect basic device information such as device type, operating system version, and app version to diagnose technical issues and ensure compatibility.
5. How We Use Your Data
We use the data we collect for the following purposes:
- To provide the core functionality of the app
- To improve the accuracy of our AI identification systems, using anonymised scan images from users who have not opted out of AI training (see Section 3)
- To build and develop proprietary datasets and machine learning models
- To manage your subscription and enforce tier limits
- To monitor app performance, diagnose errors, and improve the service
- To display affiliate links to third-party marketplaces
- To generate collection valuation reports (Premium and Pro tiers)
- To send notifications about your collection, if enabled
- To inform product development, business strategy, and commercial decisions
6. Legal Basis for Processing
Under UK GDPR, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Contract performance — processing necessary to provide the service you have requested
- Legitimate interests — improving our AI systems, developing proprietary datasets, and operating and growing our business
- Consent — where you have explicitly agreed to our Terms and Conditions, and where you have chosen to leave the "Contribute to AI training" setting switched on
7. Your Collector List
FigHub lets you connect with other collectors. In plain English:
- You can add other collectors to your collector list. This lets you share parts of your collection with people you choose.
- Collectors on your list may see your collection, profile, and collection value — but only to the extent allowed by your privacy settings.
- You control exactly what is visible. Your privacy settings decide what people on your collector list can and cannot see.
- You can remove a collector at any time. Removing someone from your collector list is immediate, and it instantly revokes their access to the data you had been sharing with them.
8. Public Profiles
- Public profiles are opt-in, and your profile is private by default. Your profile only becomes public if you choose to make it public.
- What is visible depends on your privacy settings. You control what information appears on your public profile.
- Your shareable profile link. If your profile is public, it can be reached at a link in the form
fighub.app/collection/username. Anyone who has that link can view your public profile. If your profile is private, the link is not accessible to others.
9. Data Sharing and Third-Party Services
We work with the following third-party service providers. Each processes data on our behalf under appropriate agreements, and each has its own privacy policy:
We may also share your data in the following circumstances:
- Business transfers — in the event of a merger, acquisition, investment, restructuring, or sale of all or part of FigHub Ltd's assets (including its dataset), your data may be transferred to the acquiring or successor entity. That entity will be notified of their obligations under this policy and applicable data protection law.
- Anonymised and aggregated data — we may share, licence, or sell anonymised or aggregated data (from which individual users cannot reasonably be identified) with third parties for research, commercial, or analytical purposes.
- Legal requirements — we may disclose data where required by law, regulation, or legal process.
We do not sell personally identifiable data to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.
10. Data Retention
We retain your data for the following periods:
- Scan images and identification data — for users who have not opted out of AI training, anonymised scan images may be retained as part of our training dataset (see Sections 3 and 11). Identification data is retained for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy.
- Your personal collection data — retained for as long as you use the app, and deleted on the schedule set out in Section 11 when you delete your account.
- Analytics data — retained for as long as commercially useful, typically up to 36 months for identifiable data.
- Subscription data — retained as required by applicable law and accounting obligations.
11. Account Deletion and Soft Delete
If you delete your FigHub account, in plain English:
- Your personal data is kept for 30 days first. When you delete your account, we do not erase your personal data immediately. We retain it for 30 days.
- This 30-day grace period lets us recover accidentally deleted accounts. If you deleted your account by mistake, this window gives us the chance to restore it.
- After 30 days, your personal data is permanently and irreversibly deleted. Once the grace period ends, your personal data cannot be recovered.
- Anonymised scan images are not deleted. Anonymised scan images that have been retained for AI training contain no personal data and are not linked to you, so they are not removed as part of account deletion. (You can prevent your scan images from being retained at all by opting out of AI training — see Section 3.)
12. Your Rights Under UK GDPR
As a UK resident, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right of access — you can request a copy of the data we hold about you (see Section 13 for how to do this).
- Right to rectification — you can ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Right to erasure — you can ask us to delete your personal data. Note that we may retain data that has been genuinely anonymised, such as anonymised scan images held in our AI training dataset, which contain no personal data.
- Right to restrict processing — you can ask us to limit how we use your data.
- Right to data portability — you can request your data in a machine-readable format.
- Right to object — you can object to processing based on legitimate interests, including opting out of AI training at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@fighub.app. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the ICO at ico.org.uk.
13. Requesting a Copy of Your Data (Download My Data)
You have the right to request a copy of all the personal data FigHub holds about you. In plain English:
- What you can request. A copy of all personal data we hold about you. This includes your profile information, your scan history, your wishlist, and your collection personal data (such as notes, conditions, purchase prices, and purchase dates).
- How to request it. Email us at hello@fighub.app and ask for a copy of your data.
- When you will receive it. We will respond within 30 days with a data export.
- This is separate from the Pro CSV export. The right described here is your legal right to a full copy of your personal data. It is different from the Pro tier CSV export feature, which produces a formatted report of your collection. Both are available, but they are not the same thing.
14. Data Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted transmission, secure cloud storage, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. In the event of a data breach that poses a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify you and the ICO as required by law.
15. Children's Privacy
FigHub is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at hello@fighub.app and we will delete it promptly.
16. Cookies and Tracking
The FigHub mobile app does not use cookies. We may use analytics SDKs that collect usage data as described in Section 4.3.
17. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or business operations. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. If you do not accept the updated policy, you should stop using the app.

Privacy settings control exactly what other users can see, including collection contents and collection value. FigHub Ltd is not responsible for content shared on public profiles. Users can remove connections and make their profile private at any time.
4. Image Collection and Data Consent
THIS SECTION IS IMPORTANT. PLEASE READ IT CAREFULLY.
By using the scan feature and confirming a minifigure identification, you explicitly consent to the following:
- The photos you take within the app will be uploaded to FigHub's secure cloud storage
- Your images will be stored and used to improve FigHub's AI identification systems
- Your images may be used as part of a training dataset to develop FigHub's proprietary machine learning model
- Images are stored in compressed form and associated with identification metadata
- Your images will not be shared with third parties for their own commercial purposes
- You may request deletion of your images by contacting hello@fighub.app, subject to our data retention obligations
You can opt out of AI training at any time via Settings → Privacy → "Contribute to AI training". Opting out does not affect your ability to scan minifigures — AI identification continues to work exactly the same way whether the toggle is on or off. You may still manually add minifigures to your collection without scanning.
By accepting these Terms, you confirm that you are the owner of the photos you submit or otherwise have the right to grant FigHub the licence described above.
5. Subscriptions and Payments
5.1 Billing
Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Payment is charged to your app store account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your app store account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods, except as required by applicable law.

Where a free trial is offered, any unused portion of the trial period will be forfeited upon purchase of a subscription.

FigHub reserves the right to change subscription pricing. You will be notified of price changes before they take effect and will have the option to cancel before the new price applies.
6. Affiliate Links
The App contains affiliate links to third-party marketplaces including eBay and Amazon. When you click these links and make a purchase, FigHub may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.
FigHub is not responsible for the content, pricing, availability, or any aspect of third-party marketplaces. Any purchase you make through an affiliate link is solely between you and the relevant third party. We recommend you review the third party's terms and privacy policy before making a purchase.
Affiliate links are clearly provided as a convenience feature. We do not endorse any specific seller, listing, or product.

All content within the App — including but not limited to software code, design, graphics, text, and the FigHub name and logo — is owned by or licensed to FigHub Ltd and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
9.1 AI Accuracy

9.2 Valuation Data
Collection valuations provided by the App are estimates based on third-party market data and are provided for informational purposes only. These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
We encourage you to contact us at hello@fighub.app in the first instance to resolve any dispute informally before resorting to legal proceedings.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or by email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the App.

To request recovery of a deleted account, contact hello@fighub.app within 30 days of deletion. After 30 days, deletion is permanent and irreversible. Anonymised scan images retained for AI training are not deleted as they contain no personal data.
